At 4Way Foods Ltd, we are committed to delivering your groceries reliably, quickly, and safely, whether to your doorstep or business address. That’s why we partner with trusted delivery providers like DPD to offer fast, reliable, and sustainable shipping options across the UK. This Delivery Policy outlines how we manage deliveries, including coverage, options, charges, missed deliveries, and other key information.

1. Delivery Coverage Area

We currently deliver to most UK mainland addresses. This includes:

  • Major cities across England, Scotland, and Wales
  • Selected postcodes in Northern Ireland (subject to confirmation at checkout)

2. Delivery Options & Charges

We offer flexible delivery slots to suit your schedule:

Delivery times are available 7 days a week, including weekends and bank holidays in selected areas.

3. Delivery Timeslots

We offer scheduled delivery slots for convenience:

  • Morning: 10 AM – 12 PM (more expensive)
  • Afternoon: 12 PM – 4 PM
  • Evening: 4 PM – 8 PM

Choose your preferred slot at checkout (subject to availability).

4. Order Minimums & Restrictions

  • Minimum order value: £25
  • Age-restricted items (e.g., alcohol) will only be delivered to those 18+, with ID check (Challenge 25 applies).
  • We may limit certain high-demand items to ensure availability for all customers.

5. Chilled & Frozen Items

Chilled and frozen products are delivered in insulated packaging and temperature-controlled vehicles to preserve product quality and safety. As such we charge more for deliveries of such items. Please store immediately upon delivery. Due to health regulations, we cannot accept returns or issue refunds on fresh, chilled and frozen items due to missed deliveries.

6. Receiving Your Delivery

You (or a nominated adult) must be present to receive your order. If no one is home:

  • We’ll attempt to contact you by phone or SMS
  • If instructed, we may leave with a neighbour (at your risk)
  • A re-delivery fee may apply if no contact is made

For multi-unit buildings, please provide clear access or instructions.

7. 🚫Missed Deliveries

At 4Way Foods, we take great care to ensure your order reaches you within the scheduled timeslot. However, the successful handover of your groceries depends on your availability to receive the delivery.

Customer Responsibility

It is your responsibility to ensure that someone aged 18 or over is available to accept the delivery during your notified timeslot. In some cases, our drivers may require a signature or photo ID (especially for age-restricted items like alcohol).

If No One Is Home

If no one is available at the delivery address at the time of delivery:

  • Our driver will attempt to contact you by phone or SMS.
  • If we cannot reach you, a Missed Delivery Notice will be left.
  • We will not leave your order unattended for security, food safety, and liability reasons.

Fresh, Chilled & Frozen Items

Due to strict food safety standards:

  • If your order contains fresh, chilled, or frozen items and delivery is missed, we cannot reattempt delivery with those items.
  • These perishable items will be disposed of responsibly, and you will still be charged for them as they are no longer safe for resale or reuse.
  • We strongly recommend ensuring someone is present during delivery to receive these items immediately.

Neighbour Delivery (At Your Risk)

In very limited cases and only with your prior consent, we may agree to deliver to a trusted neighbour. Please note:

  • This is done entirely at your own risk.
  • 4Way Foods does not accept liability for any damage, spoilage, or loss once handed over to the neighbour.

Redelivery

If your delivery is missed:

  • You may be contacted to reschedule your delivery.
  • A redelivery fee of £4.99 may apply for standard orders.
  • If the missed delivery was due to an error on our part, we will redeliver at no additional cost.
  • Orders may be cancelled if undelivered after 2 attempts

8. Delivery Confirmation

Once your order is out for delivery, you’ll receive:

  • A confirmation email/SMS with tracking (where available)
  • A final receipt with product details and pricing

9. Substitutions

In rare cases where an item is unavailable, we may:

  • Offer a suitable substitute (which you can accept or reject)
  • Issue a refund if no substitute is acceptable

Your preference can be set at checkout.

10. Delivery Delays or Disruptions

Occasionally, deliveries may be delayed due to:

  • Severe weather
  • Road closures or traffic
  • Unforeseen operational issues

We will notify you promptly and rearrange delivery where necessary.

11. Click & Collect (Coming Soon)

We are working on launching Click & Collect from our Liverpool/Birmingham hub. Stay tuned for updates.

12. Amendments & Cancellations

  • You may amend or cancel your order up until 10:00 PM the night before your scheduled dispatch.
  • Cancellations or changes cannot be made on the day of dispatch.
  • Orders must be cancelled via your 4Way Foods online account or by contacting our Customer Support Team via orders@4wayfoods.co.uk.
  • Orders that are not cancelled before the cut-off time will be charged and delivered as scheduled.

13. Delivery & Brexit-Related Information

Currently, we do not deliver outside the UK or to the Channel Islands.
We remain compliant with all customs and food safety regulations applicable in post-Brexit UK.

15. Legal & Liability

  • Once delivered, risk passes to you, please inspect items immediately.
  • 4Way Foods is not responsible for spoilage due to missed delivery or delay caused by incorrect addresses or absence of recipient.
