How to Use Royco Usavi Mix

For Stews & Potjies:

1. Brown your meat (chicken or beef) in a pot.
2. Add onions, tomatoes, and any vegetables of your choice.
3. Mix 2 teaspoons of Royco Usavi Mix with 250ml of water.
4. Pour into the pot, stir well, and let simmer for 10 minutes.
5. Serve hot with sadza (maize meal), rice, or dumplings.

1. Traditional Zimbabwean Beef Stew

Ingredients:

• 500g beef cubes
• 1 onion (chopped)
• 2 tomatoes (chopped)
• 2 tsp Royco Usavi Mix (Beef)
• 1 cup water
• 1 tsp cooking oil
• Salt & pepper to taste

Method:

1. Heat oil in a pot and fry the onions until golden.
2. Add beef and brown evenly.
3. Stir in tomatoes and cook until soft.
4. Mix Royco Usavi Mix with water and pour over the beef.
5. Simmer for 20 minutes and serve with sadza or rice.

2. Chicken Potjie with Royco Usavi Mix

Ingredients:

• 500g chicken pieces
• 1 onion (chopped)
• 1 green pepper (chopped)
• 2 tsp Royco Usavi Mix (Chicken)
• 1 cup water
• 1 tsp cooking oil
• 1 tsp curry powder

Method:

1. Heat oil and sauté onions and peppers.
2. Add chicken and brown evenly.
3. Stir in curry powder and mix well.
4. Mix Royco Usavi Mix with water and add to the pot.
5. Simmer for 25 minutes and serve with rice or pap.
